Day 3: Sviyazhsk
Located on an island in the middle of a wide river, Sviyazhsk used to be a Russian fort built by Ivan the Terrible, when he conquered Kazan almost 500 years ago. Now, Sviyazhsk is a lovely quaint little town with the old Orthodox monasteries and pretty village houses, and the clean blue river that is everywhere around.
Day 4: Yekaterinburg
Yekaterinburg – Russia's biggest city in the Ural region, the territory traditionally known for its industrial factories and beautiful landscapes of the ancient low Ural mountains. The city is famous for Soviet constructivist and modern skyscraper buildings, also the hometown of the Russian First President Boris Yeltsin.
